The mission of Filiera Italiana Foraggi is the promotion of environmental sustainability of fodder cropping and processing while maintaining the highest quality standards with initiatives involving scientific research and communication.

At the same time, Filiera Italiana Foraggi supports the improvement of the sector by ensuring the complete traceability of fodder placed on national and international markets, guaranteeing the maintenance of nutritional values.

The Association is strongly committed to:

  • Promoting all initiatives which can contribute to the growth and development of the member companies by coordinating their activities
  • Increasing the competitiveness of the fodder production system through the adoption of instruments which may promote debates, coordination and cooperation between all stakeholders of the sector
  • Promoting, managing, coordinating and monitoring the good outcome of initiatives and projects implemented in order to support the entry of member companies into foreign markets, as well as the development of the sector
  • Undertaking research activities in the agricultural and agri-food sector, directly and indirectly, also through associated bodies, in order to foster the rationalization and development of skills that may facilitate the growth of consortium member companies
  • Promoting and safeguarding the production of processed fodder through the enhancement of Designations of Origin, Quality Marks, SQN (National Quality System), and Geographical Indications by also initiating promotion, information and dissemination actions concerning the research carried out
  • Identifying environmentally friendly cropping systems that guarantee the quality of fodder while preserving ecosystems
  • Carrying out economic research activities to be disseminated by organizing seminars, conferences, workshops or by sending press releases to all kinds of media – the press, radio, television and online
